4. About the signing

Up to 2 signers are included. Additional signers are $10.00 each.

Max 15 MB per file. PDFs, photos, and Office documents accepted.

5. Witnesses

Some documents need witnesses in addition to notarization, and the requirement depends on the document, lender, attorney, court, or agency. If you're not sure, choose 0. Jeff reviews your document before your appointment is finalized and will confirm whether witnesses are required.

Witness requirements are confirmed after document review

Witnesses supplied by Straub Document Group are $50.00 each, maximum of 2. Witnesses you bring yourself are $20.00 each to verify their government-issued ID, administer oaths, and confirm they meet legal requirements. There is no witness fee if witnesses aren't required. After you send or upload your document, Jeff confirms what's actually needed and you'll be told about any added charge before the appointment is finalized.

Witnesses are not guaranteed. Straub Document Group makes every reasonable effort to supply witnesses, but availability can't be guaranteed for every appointment.

6. Payment policies

Deposit Policy

A deposit reserves your appointment and is credited toward the final invoice.

Cancellation and Refund Policy

Deposits become non-refundable if the appointment is canceled less than 24 hours before the scheduled appointment time. Cancellations made 24 hours or more before the appointment are eligible for a refund of the deposit.

Same-Day Appointments

A same-day appointment is already inside the 24-hour window, so its deposit is non-refundable as soon as it is paid.

Weekday After-Hours Scheduling Fee — +$25

Applies to Monday–Friday appointments before 8:00 AM or after 5:00 PM. Added to the base price of the selected service and applies per appointment, not per document.

Weekend & Holiday Scheduling Fee — +$50

Applies to appointments on Saturdays, Sundays, or recognized holidays. The weekend or holiday surcharge applies on recognized federal holidays and on the federally observed weekday when a fixed-date holiday falls on a Saturday or Sunday. Added to the base price of the selected service and applies per appointment, not per document.

Rush Scheduling Fee — +$75

Applies when an appointment is requested within 2 hours of the desired appointment time. Scheduling fees are never stacked — only the highest applicable fee is charged.

Credit Card Processing Fee

A $4.95 processing fee is added to all payments made by credit or debit card. This fee helps cover card processing costs and is waived for payments made by cash or check.
