Transparent pricing
Every appointment starts at $100.00 and includes up to two signers plus standard-area travel. A scheduling fee may be added to the base price based on when you'd like to meet — scheduling fees apply per appointment (not per document), and only the highest applicable fee is ever charged.
A $75 deposit reserves your appointment and is applied toward your final invoice. The balance is invoiced after the signing is complete.
A $50 non-refundable deposit is required to secure your appointment. This deposit is applied toward the total cost of your scheduled service, with the remaining balance due at the appointment. If you cancel your appointment for any reason, the $50 deposit will be retained to cover scheduling, administrative costs, and reserved appointment time. If Straub Document Group LLC is unable to fulfill your appointment, including being unable to provide requested witnesses, your $50 deposit will be refunded in full. If you need to reschedule, please contact us as soon as possible. Rescheduling is subject to availability and approval by Straub Document Group LLC.

Appointment Scheduling Fee
One scheduling fee is added to each appointment based on the appointment time. Scheduling fees are added to the base price of the selected service and apply per appointment, not per document. Fees are never stacked — only the highest applicable scheduling fee is charged.

Witnesses are not guaranteed. Straub Document Group will make every reasonable effort to provide witnesses when requested, but availability cannot be guaranteed for every appointment. Witness requirements depend on the specific document and requesting agency — not every document requires witnesses.

- How quickly can you come?
- Hospice requests are prioritized. Same-day service is usually available, and we respond to emergencies 24/7.
- What if the signer is fading in and out?
- The signer must be awake and able to understand and communicate their intent at the moment of signing. We work patiently around good windows in the day, and we'll tell you honestly if a signing shouldn't proceed.
- What identification is required?
- A current, unexpired government-issued photo ID for the signer. Please locate it before the visit — we cannot notarize without it.
- Do you coordinate with the hospice care team?
- Yes. We're used to working alongside hospice nurses, social workers, and chaplains, and we keep the visit calm and brief.
- Can family members serve as witnesses?
- Family members who are not named in the document can usually witness. Let us know in advance if witnesses are required and we'll help plan.
- How does payment work?
- A deposit reserves your appointment and is credited toward the final invoice. The balance is invoiced after the signing is complete. Cards, cash, and checks are accepted, with no added card fee.

- Unsigned documents — do not sign in advance

- Any special instructions or building/access information
- Exact facility address plus the room, unit, or floor number
- The signer's photo ID physically at the bedside — a family member can bring it
- A time of day when the signer is most alert
- Family members who are not named in the document, if witnesses are needed
